The seal is dedicated to the Doges and the Doge’s Palace in Venice, a symbol of the Most Serene Republic, a Gothic masterpiece overlooking St. Mark’s Basin and the residence of the rulers until 1789.
The glass is produced exclusively in the Bortoletti workshop using the ancient lost-wax casting technique, making each piece unique and of great artistic value.
This seal can be personalized with initials in various styles—English cursive, Gothic, block letters, and dual combinations—allowing for endless variations with a single tool.
To use it, the sealing wax can be melted with an alcohol lamp, a kitchen lighter, or a strainer heated over a flame. High-quality sealing wax should melt quickly without burning and remain workable for as long as it takes to make the impression.
