An original bookmark with white bronze frieze frieze depicting the Napoleonic emblem engraved with bees. A symbol of immortality, bees were discovered in 1653 in Tournai in the tomb of Childerico I, founder in 457 of the Merovingian dynasty. They are considered the oldest emblem of the sovereigns of France. According to a Breton legend, bees were generated by Christ’s tears on the cross. The design is inspired by the neoclassical style.
Ideal for your leisurely reading breaks and for those who enjoy Venetian style and elegance. The bronze frieze frieze is hand-chiseled. A classy item for special occasions and as an original gift.
